Needing some personality

This week we pulled out the RV to get her cleaned up for a weekend trip to the lake. We’re lucky that we have a big yard with side access, so we can keep it at home and take our time cleaning and stocking for the trip. But the spot we park in isn’t quite wide enough to open the slides all the way so we have to move to the front yard for that.

So, I’m in there getting rid of cobwebs and dusting and looking around and really starting to feel like I’ve failed in this whole RV owner thing. Not in any technical or mechanical way (Wayne takes great care of all of that) but the inside is exactly the way it came from the factory. No decorations, no personal touches. In fact, except for ditching the bedspread in favor of an old down comforter and adding a yellow duck toothbrush holder, there is nothing personal in there at all. That is going to change.

Before we hit the road next year, we’re going to do an extreme makeover RV edition. I’ve been afraid to do too much that might affect resale value but have now come to realize, I don’t really care about resale value. If this is going to be our home, it’s going to look like it. Well except for the dirty dishes in the sink.  Now just to decide if I start in the front or the back, hmm……
